Key Qualifications for working at Avista Partners:
• Superior intellect: top academic achievement and demonstrated initiative/resource- resourcefulness
• Desire and ability to work hard in an unstructured, entrepreneurial environment where dedication, creativity, maturity and enthusiasm for learning are highly valued
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment and integrity
• Excellent analytical/quantitative, writing, and communications skills
• Prior investment banking or private equity experience is required
• Although not required, sector knowledge and/or general interest in technology, digital media, luxury/retail or consumer-related industries is also a plus
Key Expectations for Analysts/Associates working at Avista Partners:
• Assume significant levels of responsibility requiring a high degree of maturity, self-confidence and technical aptitude
• Exposed to a broad spectrum of financial and strategic issues, working closely with the firm's senior management, interacting with senior professionals and client repre- sentatives
• Researching companies, transaction, market data and industry sectors
• Developing pitches and client presentations (such as management and Board presentations)
• financial analysis, building financial models, and writing placement memoranda
